Call Art Instructors

CALL for Instructors!

Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation Creative Resources Unit is recruiting new art instructors. Must enjoy teaching, be energetic and be available. We teach in an educational format, work with people of all ages. The positions available (but not limited to):

Youth Art Instructors to teach afterschool art enrichment classes at various schools in Arlington. Must be available weekdays 2-4:30pm. Ideal candidates are those who are working artists or college art/education students, love working with children and have knowledge of many mediums. Teaching experience desired but not required.

Ceramics Instructor to teach Youth and Adult Pottery. Must have knowledge and experience with the fundamentals and techniques of throwing pottery on the wheel. Working artists or ceramic teachers preferred. Teaching experience desired but not required.

Woodworking Instructor / Woodworking Studio Monitor with experience in maintaining woodshop and equipment: table, radial, band saws, planer, jointer, drill etc. Ability to develop and teach current woodshop classes to youth and adults. Teaching experience desired.
